The IMIL Conducting Course offers an intensive
10 day conducting training to enable conductors to competently handle any
conducting situation, to help instrumentalists meet the many demands of
orchestral playing, and offers an intense environment to learn
a difficult and varied repertoire.
Each week's schedule includes seven master
classes .
Participants conduct a piano sextet. Subjects
will include conducting technique, interpretation, score study, analysis,
rehearsal technique and musician interaction.
The workshops also offers private detailed score
study sessions with the faculty and a pianist The score study sessions focus on
conducting technique, interpretation and analysis.
All sessions are videotaped with video/sound
straight to DVD providing participants with an invaluable learning tool and
exceptional conducting footage. The IMIL Conducting Course will accept a maximum of 18 conductors.
